Our Policy

Occasionally we have an older dog available to a top quality home. Many times these older dogs are actually retired show dogs between 3 and 6 years of age. If you are the sort of person that would rather not deal with all the extra work of puppyhood, this may be a better option for you. Our older dogs are crate trained and well-socilaized. A show dog needs to be able to handle the stresses of life on the road, the noise at dog shows and the touch of a total stranger's hands going over their bodies and peeeking into their mouths. These dogs have learned to behave on the grooming table and in the hotel room. They make excellent companions and still have many wonderful years of friendship to offer their new owners.

Since retired show dogs are very much in demand as they have proven themselves to make outstanding pets, we can not guarantee that we will have something available at the moment that you call, but we may. If not, we will be happy to place your name on a waiting list or refer you to someone who may have one. Since these dogs are "retired" they are sold strictly on spay/neuter contracts as pets and yes, they are sold, not given away. We firmly believe that pets that are given away are often not valued by their new owners, therefor we do charge a nominal fee even for our retirees, but we can assure you, they are worth every penny of it.
