Grooming Procedure

What Do We Do With All These Tools?

This next section will attempt to describe in detail the procedure for grooming out a Keeshond. Keep in mind that some things are very difficult to describe with words and still pictures. I can give you the basic idea and explain what it looks like and what we are trying to accomplish, but it will not be a substitute from hands-on teaching that your breeder can provide.

Another good place to see this process in action would be to go to a dog show. There you will find many Keeshond exhibitors getting their dogs ready for the ring. Most of them will be quite happy to answer questions and demonstrate techniques provided you don’t interfere with them getting ready for the ring.

Enough said, let’s get started.
