Well, hopefully I have provided
you with enough information to groom out your own Keeshond effectively. Grooming your own
dog is a very rewarding experience. But, not everyone has the time or the capability to
groom their own dog. For this reason their are many grooming shops that are more than
capable of grooming your Keeshond for you. Never let your Keeshond go
ungroomed for more than 4 weeks. The recommended interval
between groomings is ideally 2 weeks. If you go longer than two weeks between
groomings then it is essential that each grooming be thorough and deep, down to the skin.
Remember, it is easy to make your dog look presentable by simply brushing the outer guard
hairs, but if you cannot feel and see all the way down to the skin, you have a skin
problem waiting to happen, a walking time bomb. Do not neglect your companion's needs, get
him to a groomer.

If you have any questions or we
can be of any help, feel free to drop us a line. If you live in the area and wish a
demonstration on grooming, give us a call at 310-323-1292, we would be happy to
help. Finally,
if you simply would rather have us groom your dog for you, we charge
a reasonable fee to groom out,
bathe, trim feet and nails, and groom out a second time after the bath, generally a 2-4
hour labor-intensive process. This is for an adult Keeshond that has
been regularly and properly groomed. Dogs in poor
condition with lots of mats will be considerably more. Feel free to contact
us regarding our current grooming rates or to make an appointment. Our
number is 310-323-1292. We are by appointment only.
Many people elect to have their
dog groomed professionally during the holidays so as to have their dog looking its best
for company, especially during a particularly busy time of the year. At Cari-On Kennels we
are equipped to handle all your holiday needs ... any time of the year.
